Melaykos (Unknown Year)

I look for any other rooms

You exit the room into the hallway. A light appears to be shining dimly from far down the hall somewhere. Many doors line each side of the hallway.

A thick lair of dust coats the hallway as well and an eerie silence permeates the tower.

I walk towards the light without a fear or care of the noise I am making.

Your footsteps echo loudly as you walk towards the source of light. At the very end of the hall the last door is slightly ajar. The light shines brightly now, coming from inside.

As you push the door open loudly you see a brightly glowing orb upon a pedestal.

I walk into the room staring into the glowing orb admiring it. Then I look around the room to see what else it holds

You admire the glowing orb and glance around the room to see if there is anything else interesting.

The room itself is circular, and only 10 feet in diameter. It goes upwards so far that you can only see darkness after a while, but you assume it must be hundreds of feet. The rest of the room is entirely empty, save for a series of what appear to be wires that come out of the walls and run along the floor connecting to the base of the pedestal

I put my hands upon the orb. In attempt to sense the energy of the orb

You place your hands onto the orb and concentrate on the flowing power within it. You empty your mind of all but the orb and it's radiant light. You make yourself one with orb, a part of it, as the both of you were inseparable. You feel it's smooth surface, it's warmth. You memorize the very feeling of it. You try with all your might to decipher the mysterious powers that fill the sphere of glass. You make it your destiny.

You sense nothing.

This orb taunts me, acting as if it's a god. But its not a god it's just a parasite. I am a real god and this orb will feel my wrath. I pull the orb out of its place and smash it on the ground.

Nothing can stop me, nobody can stop the god of death himself I will consume all for thinking they could possibly out do me.

You pull the orb from the pedestal. It takes a bit of strength as it seems to be held in place by some sort of force. You raise it above your head and thrust it into the ground as hard as you can.

It bounces on the ground untouched, not a crack upon it's glass surface. It rolls across the ground and the color of the light changes, from a pale blue to a dark red.

In anger and refusing to let this orb win against the god of death himself.

I SUMMON ALL OF THE STRENGTH I HAVE HAVE CONTINUE TO SMASH THIS ORB IN ATTEMPT TO BREAK IT

As you continue to try and break the orb the color of red within it deepens until it's so dark it almost becomes black. The orb starts to vibrate and the tower begins to shake. The orb however, has not broken.

SUMMONING ALL OF MY GODLY STRENGTH I CONTINUE TO SMASH THE ORB

You continue to throw the orb into the ground relentlessly. The tower begins shaking harder and harder. Dust rains from the ceiling. Cracks begin to appear on the surface of the orb.

As it hits the ground one last time it shatters. Suddenly an enormous force blasts you backwards. You expect to hit the wall behind you by the time you reach it it's gone. Your vision spins as you fly through the air. You feel your body plummet into the dark waters and sink. Around you you hear the sound of splashing and the feeling of the impact of large chunks of wall hitting the water around you.

The deafening sound of creaking fills the air

In my victory I praise my amazing skills and power.

Waiting until pieces fall out of the sky I emerge from the water to survey what I have done.

You surface as the pieces stop plummeting into the water to avoid drowning. As you take your first breath you are greeted to a darkening shadow and continuing creaking as the tower next to you starts to lean in your direction
